As Hana and I sat down last night to "watch" Dancing with the Stars on Monday night after the little one went to sleep, an announcement was made that would have a lasting impact on the rest of this season... a season to this point which has been nothing short of magical...
It was announced that Misty May-Treanor... I told myself I wasn't going to cry... sustained an injury and was going to have to drop out of the competition. They showed the footage of her rehearsal when her Achilles tendon ruptured... it was almost to difficult to watch. They had her hobble out on her crutches to talk about the injury. Seeing Misty that way was traumatic... almost too much to bear.
Don't worry though, she is tough and said that she would be back to dance the jive as soon as she is better... that is the attitude of a champion. You can read the press release here.
Good luck in your recovery Misty... you will be missed... one less star to shine on the dance floor of DWTS (that what people "in the know" call Dancing with the Stars).
