A whole month...

Listen,
Hard to believe it's been a whole month since I last posted... I guess it is time. I have been wanting to post about Evan's last trip to the doctor. I actually typed out a whole post at work, but wanted to add some pictures of him, and never got around to posting it at all. I will now adapt that into a new post for today... lucky you.

Nothing exciting going on at work… no celebrities sighted… no temple open-houses attended… no new babies born or pets adopted… no polar bear plunges on the news... no lime... not a whole lot going on…

As I mentioned, we did take Evan in for his 4 month check-up. He weighed 18 pounds 9 ounces and was 26 and one-half inches tall/long. According to the growth charts he is the size of an average 7 and ½ year old. I forget which number goes with which, but I believe he was like 93rd percentile for height and 98th percentile for weight… either way he is big. Those numbers were taken on Monday, the 19th, so he is even bigger now… His pediatrician said that he appears to be thriving and to keep doing what we’re doing and not to be concerned about him being too heavy at this point. He has been such a great addition to the family, so good in fact, that Hana said the other day that she might even consider having another one. I told her that she is nuts and that we should probably have her examined for some sort of “crazy person” disease.

Question: Is this blog really turning into one of those family update blogs????

Change of subject.

I have been sick this week. I even called in sick and didn’t go to work on Wednesday… probably should have Thursday and or Friday too.

We got a Wii Fit a week or so ago. According to it, I am an obese 60 year-old… ouch. Actually, my Wii age is 37, Hana’s was 38 and since my "real, non-Nintendo age" is 2 years older than her "real, non-Nintendo age" I must be doing pretty well… Unfortunately, I did not make up the “obese” part…

Our cats are getting big… They are nuts too.

Brady has to be the coolest kid ever. He makes me laugh all the time. We bought him a Star Wars T-shirt the other day… it’s all he wants to wear now. Those of you who knew me in Junior High will find this funnier than those of you who didn't. Two words: Hyper-color sweatshirt...
Brady started going to a pre-preschool at Gymboree. They learn letters and numbers and important things like how to safely carry scissors, which he demonstrated for us... The other day when I went to pick him up one of the other boys in his class was telling his mom that he and Brady played Star Wars together during "play time" and that Brady was really good at it. My first thought was, "You bet your a$$ he is... he's the best at playing Star Wars."

Anyway, like I said, this post should have had some pictures, but since it didn't I will try to post some soon and not wait a month between posting again... Maybe I can get an action shot of Brady demonstrating the safe way to carry scissors.
